Cruise Whitsunday Ferries operate some ferries from Hamilton Island Airport Jetty to Abel Point Marina South Section (approx 1hr 15mins) and some ferries to and from Shute Harbour (approx 35- 60mins).

One Way Fare: Adults $60, Children $40 (4-14 years).

If you have a lot of luggage you may need to take a taxi from the south section of the marina to the Whitsunday Escape base at the north section cost $8 approx.

MACKAY AIRPORT TO AIRLIE BEACH

Mackay Airport is about 1.5hrs drive south of Airlie Beach. Transport options are a rental car or a bus with Greyhound.

Greyhound busses currently stop at the airport three times a day and the cost is presently about $25. Bookings can be made by phone 1300 473 946 or online though www.greyhound.com.au click on booking, then make a booking, select Mackay Airport to Airlie Beach. You may need to take a short taxi from Airlie Beach to Abel Point Marina, as they will not drop you off at the Marina.
